Bristol Mind are a well established and experienced provider of mental health services. Their specialist knowledge and extensive contacts improve the effectiveness and reach of the collaboration; because the act of discrimination exacerbates mental health problems, their insight and input is invaluable.
SARI was chosen as the lead provider in the collaboration as they have been the lead player in tackling race and faith-based hate crime within Bristol for almost 25 years.
They are currently the largest hate crime response agency in the city.
Bristol Hate Crime Services
LGBT Bristol are a champion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues. Originally established in 1994, their experience with homophobic and transphobic hate crimes is broad. Working as a collaborator in the partnership, they aim to support educational projects in order to raise awareness, preventing bullying and hate crime.
Brandon Trust offers support and guidance for people with learning disabilities across the UK, enabling them to improve their quality of life and enjoy greater independence. Their collaboration allows us to help disabled people who would not otherwise report hate crime.
Bristol Hate Crime Services is a group of four expert agencies working in collaboration to provide a comprehensive service for victims of hate crime.
The collaboration is led by SARI (Stand Against Racism & Inequality), with local providers Brandon Trust, Bristol Mind and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Forum.
